Sprint Has Palm Pre War Room In Works For Launch

A report by Forbes online, Sprint is gearing up for the launch of the Palm Pre like a military 'War Room'. According to, David Owens, Sprint's director of devices, said that extra employees will be on hand to manage crowds. Sprint will also borrow some employees from Palm to assist with more than 100 stores nationwide for the big event.

In the article it states: "Both companies are also establishing "situation rooms" to quickly address problems that might arise during launch, particularly tech support issues. If store representatives don't know the answer to a question, they can consult people in the "war rooms" via live chat."
