Quick Review: Rubberized Amzer Snap-on hard cases for Palm Pre

In for review today are Rubberized and Polished Snap-on hard cases from Amzer. These cases feel in a way like this case, but better. First off, it does NOT cover the gesture area... It has a smooth rubber texture, but still feels cheap, sadly. And the usual stuff... It adds bulk, good protection, easy to put on, hard to take off. It easily snaps on the Pre with the Standard battery door on. But do note that it does not snap on with the touchstone battery door, for whatever reason. Lastly, they come in a few color choices.

Rubberized:

Black, Crimson Red, Deep Blue and Baby Pink.

Polished:

Only in black.

What's in the box?

  • Snap-on case
  • Slide-on Belt Clip
  • Instructions and the kit to install the Belt Clip on the case

Price: $10 + shipping will get you one of these cases from the PreThinking Store.

Stay tune for more review on accessories from Fommy, like the extended batteries.

screenis still not protected? Those eho wish it could probably combine one of these cases with Ghost Armour or BestSkinsEver thus protecting the screen from scratches and the rest of the phone from falls.

Colors are meh, any rubberized protection coming soon? Don't really like the hard case. When can we see extended battery comparisons?

Screen protection: Ghost Armor - BestScreensEver - InvisiShield, which is better for the Pre? Would love a comparo.

oh gosh, that's awful looking. I hate when people take something as stylish as the Pre and plop it in a huge bulky case like that.

Is it just me, or does it look like it is prying the screen part away from the rest of the body a bit?

Oh and Darmetheon, it likely won't fit at all with a ghost armor or similar protection film installed. For the iPhone, only silicon soft cases fit.

Does it make the pre feel less wobbly?

i like the cases myself .. and for me and little hands, i like the little bit of added bulk, feels more secure in my hand now - my SO does not like the bulk however and says she missed the "sleekness feeling" but uses it for the protection it can provide - we have ZAGG skins underneath

I don't mind the added bulk, and I needed some protection for the Pre if it fell a couple times, so I got one of these. I still want some kind of cheap screen protection though.

Can you type well with this one? From the pictures it looks just like the RocketFish snap on which most people say makes typing on the top row hard.
