WebOS 1.3.5 Update is out NOW!


We were expecting to see this sometime between the earnings call and CES next month, but it is available now. The change log is a pretty decent size for how small the actual download is,(13MB) but there are a few much needed fixes there. Some of the bigger features include a removed App Limit, battery improvements, speed improvements on the Pixi, and some new features in the App Catalog. There really aren't too many new features. The update seems to just fix bugs and issues with WebOS but it is exciting none the less. On to the feature list!

We'll be seeing webOS 1.3.5 later today?

On the last earnings call, Jon Rubinstein said that the better performing/enhanced firmware update would hit sometime this month. And today could very much be that day, says Sprint Support site. Sprint Support is claiming that WebOS – 1.3.5 will be released on the 28th of December. 

This Update brings:

  • This update includes enhancements to the following:
  • Improvement in battery life optimization when in marginal coverage areas.
  • QCELP capability fix to allow play and audio of video sent via MMS.
  • Launch Google Maps or Sprint Nav when tapping an address from contacts.
  • Minimized package of MR size through binary difference. Customers can now download over 2G connections if necessary.
